Materials: Found metal objects metal, cast shadows; dimensions: 2800HX 1100W X 50mm 

 

Dismantled and re-arranged stovetop trivets form the structure of the work, which is then fleshed out and completed by the shadows they cast. The shadows extend and confuse the 3 dimensional nature of the form, like an Escher puzzle- what is positive and what is negative? Where does one start and the other finish?

 

Simple, clean ‘bones’ mimic and reference the black ‘skeleton’(black beams, rails, steps) of the building in which it sits.
