Articulate project space group show, ‘BLOT’

Materials: shipping container lining material jute webbing, felt, corten steel, gal iron tubing.
Dimensions:900H x 1800 x 3000 mm.

The work is an undertaking to wrap the contained balcony area of Articulate upstairs. The act of wrapping, binding and packaging is a means of protecting and ‘enclosing’ this part of the architecture.

 

Both soft and hard materials were used to create
the effect of a rest area, whilst, at the same time, acknowledging the industrial nature of the building.
